How do the Target Click Funds work?

Each IA Clarington Target Click Fund is made up of three components:

  1. Units of BNP Paribas Global Equity Exposure Fund,
  2. Government of Canada strip bonds, and
  3. Cash equivalents.

Together, these three components provide growth potential and downside protection as well as the guarantee.

Growth potential

BNP Paribas Global Equity Exposure Fund provides:

  • exposure to the U.S., Europe & the Asia/Pacific region for balanced global holdings in the world's largest, most dynamic markets.

Downside protection

Fixed income component comprised of strip bonds and cash provides:

  • protection against equity market downturns.
  • decreased volatility

Guarantee

The strip bond portion of the Target Click Funds supports the guaranteed amount for all outstanding units, ensuring that every unitholder, no matter when they bought the fund, at the scheduled maturity date will receive the highest month-end unit value ever achieved over the lifetime of the fund.
