Mr. Bastasic is lead Portfolio Manager for the IA Clarington
Strategic Income, Strategic Equity Income, and Strategic Corporate
Bond Funds totalling nearly $800 million in assets. Dan's expertise
is in the equity and equity-income categories along with the
corporate bond sector. Mr. Bastasic will also have the opportunity
to head up a new investment division within IA Clarington.
Dan managed several mutual funds with a combined $2.8 billion in
assets under management at his previous firm, where he was co-lead
of the fixed income team and lead portfolio manager for the high
yield and income-oriented equity mandates. Dan's track record
aligns well with the cash distribution focus of the mandates he
will assume. He has won an award for performance in his
category. Dan is a highly regarded manager and was on the
recommended list of several analysts.
Dan has over 15 years experience. He graduated with a Bachelor
of Commerce degree (finance), a Master of Business Administration
(MBA), holds a Chartered Financial Analyst Designation (CFA) and is
a member of the Toronto Society of Financial Analysts.
