Ben is the President and Chief Investment Officer of Aston Hill
Financial and manages the IA Clarington Tactical Income Fund, IA
Clarington Global Tactical Income Fund and IA Clarington Tactical
Bond Fund. Ben is supported by a highly skilled team that
specializes in energy and income related investments.
Ben has extensive portfolio management experience in both equity
and fixed income markets. Prior to joining Aston Hill, he built an
impressive track record as a portfolio advisor at a very large
Canadian mutual fund company. At that company, Ben managed more
than $7 billion in two mutual funds, each of which received an
award during his tenure as portfolio manager.
In early 1992, he worked as a corporate credit analyst at
Sceptre Investment Counsel Ltd. As a member of the bond management
team, Ben also ran some small portfolios for insurance companies
and dealt with a real estate portfolio.
Ben earned his undergraduate degree from the University of
Toronto. He also has his Chartered Financial Analyst designation
and has successfully managed financial assets for more than 19
years.
