TORONTO, ON, September 12, 2002 - ClaringtonFunds Inc.,
("Clarington"), as manager of Clarington Sector Fund Inc. announced
that the Clarington Digital Economy Class (the "Fund") was
terminated effective close of business August 30, 2002, following
60 days written notice to the shareholders of this Fund. On that
day, the shares of any shareholder remaining in the fund were
redeemed for their net asset value by Clarington. Clarington made
the decision to terminate the fund since the assets of the fund had
not grown and it was not cost effective to continue to offer the
Fund. Clarington has provided notice to the securities regulators
regarding the termination of the Fund.
