TORONTO, ON, Dec.13, 2001 - ClaringtonFunds is pleased to
announce it is the recipient of the prestigious Analysts'
Choice Mutual Fund Company of the Year Award, presented at
the 2001 Canadian Mutual Fund Awards Gala.
The award recognizes the company that has demonstrated the most
successful combination of fund performance, management, customer
service, communication, and investment strategy. The winner is
determined by a network of financial analysts.
"We are pleased to be recognized by the analyst community for
our hard work across all fronts on behalf of investors," says Terry
Stone, president and founder of Clarington Funds. "We must thank
many constituents, including our hard working team, the investors
that entrust their money to us, and to the financial advisors who
give excellent financial guidance to millions of Canadians."
The winner is selected through a process whereby a list of
eligible Canadian fund companies is prepared in advance of the
voting by Morningstar Canada, and distributed to a panel of 15
mutual fund analysts at various banks, brokerage houses and
research firms.
The annual Canadian Mutual Fund Awards Gala celebrates the
leading investment funds, portfolio managers, and fund companies,
as well as outstanding fund industry initiatives in marketing,
service, education and technology.
